Environment Pollution Paragraph

Environment pollution means the mixing of harmful things with air, water and soil. It is one of the biggest problems of the modern world. The smoke of factories, buses, cars and brick kilns pollutes the air. People throw waste, plastic and chemicals into rivers and ponds, and the water becomes poisonous. Farmers use too many pesticides, and the soil loses its power. Air pollution makes it hard to breathe and causes many diseases like asthma. Water pollution kills the fish and makes people sick with cholera and typhoid. Sound pollution from horns and machines disturbs our ears and peace. The cutting of trees and the smoke of vehicles also cause the temperature of the earth to rise. This is called global warming, and it is changing our climate. If we do not stop pollution, our earth will become unfit for living. We can reduce pollution by planting trees, using public transport, keeping our surroundings clean and throwing rubbish only in dustbins. The government should also make strict laws to save the environment. We all should work together to make our air, water and land clean.

Environment pollution is the contamination of the natural elements of our surroundings – air, water, soil and sound – by harmful substances. It is one of the most alarming problems of the present age, and it threatens the very existence of life on earth. Air pollution is caused mainly by the smoke of factories, vehicles, brick kilns and the burning of rubbish. The increasing number of motor vehicles and the emission of carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide and other poisonous gases have made the air of our cities almost unfit for breathing. Water pollution is caused by the dumping of industrial waste, chemicals, domestic sewage and plastic into rivers, canals and ponds. The rivers of our country, including the Buriganga and the Turag, have become virtually dead due to pollution. Soil pollution is caused by the excessive use of chemical fertilizers and pesticides. Sound pollution, caused by the horns of vehicles, loudspeakers and construction work, harms our ears and mental peace. The effects of pollution are terrible. Air pollution causes asthma, bronchitis and lung cancer; water pollution spreads cholera, typhoid and diarrhoea; and sound pollution causes deafness and mental stress. Moreover, pollution is the main cause of global warming and climate change, which are bringing floods, droughts and cyclones to our country. So we must fight against pollution seriously. We should plant more trees, use public transport and eco-friendly fuels, stop using polythene and plastic, throw waste only in dustbins and make our rivers clean. The government should enforce strict environmental laws, and every citizen should be a guardian of the environment. We must remember that a clean environment is not a luxury; it is our basic right and our greatest duty.
