Short Paragraph on My Aim in Life

Everyone should have an aim in life. An aim is a goal that we want to achieve, and it gives direction to all our efforts. A person without an aim is like a boat without a rudder, which drifts here and there without reaching anywhere. My aim in life is to become a doctor. I have chosen this aim because I want to serve sick and suffering people. In our country, many poor people cannot get proper treatment because they have no money and no doctors nearby. I want to open a hospital in my village so that poor people can get free treatment. I know that becoming a doctor is not easy. I must study hard, especially science subjects like biology and chemistry. I will have to pass many examinations and work very hard for many years. But I am not afraid of hard work. I study regularly and read many books about doctors and their service. My teachers and parents encourage me and help me in my studies. I believe that with patience, hard work and determination, I can achieve my aim. When I become a doctor, I will serve people honestly and never charge money from the poor.

An aim in life is a definite goal that a person wants to achieve through his or her work and effort, and it is the guiding star of human life. A person who has no aim is like a ship without a compass, drifting aimlessly on the vast ocean, and such a life is wasted without any real achievement. That is why from my childhood I have been thinking seriously about my aim, and after much thought I have decided that my aim in life is to become a doctor. The reason behind this choice is simple but strong. I have seen with my own eyes how poor people in my village suffer for want of proper medical treatment. Many patients die simply because there is no qualified doctor nearby, and those who can travel to the town cannot afford the high fees of the hospitals. These painful sights have touched my heart, and I have made up my mind to serve these helpless people. My plan is to study well in biology, chemistry and physics, pass the HSC examination with good grades and then complete my MBBS degree from a reputed medical college. After that I want to set up a hospital in my village where poor patients will get free treatment and medicine. I know that the path of a doctor is long and difficult. It needs years of study, patience, dedication and a strong sense of duty. Sometimes I feel discouraged when the lessons become hard, but the thought of the smiling faces of the cured patients keeps me going. My teachers and parents always inspire me, and they believe that with regular study and firm determination I can reach my goal. I am fully aware that a doctor’s life is full of sacrifice, but I am ready to accept it, because the service of humanity is the greatest service of all. I pray that I may succeed in achieving my aim and become a doctor who is remembered not for wealth, but for kindness and service.
