An omelette is a quick and tasty food made from eggs. We can make an omelette very easily at home. First we take two fresh eggs. Then we break the eggs into a bowl. We must be careful not to drop the eggshells into the bowl. After that we add a little salt and a pinch of chilli powder. We can also add chopped onion, green chilli, and tomato to make it more tasty. Then we beat the eggs well with a spoon or a fork until the yellow and white parts mix together. Next we put a pan on the stove and pour a little oil into it. When the oil is hot, we pour the beaten eggs into the pan. We spread the mixture evenly with a ladle. After one or two minutes the lower side becomes golden. Then we turn the omelette with a spatula and cook the other side. When both sides are golden brown, we take the omelette out on a plate and eat it with bread or rice.

Short Paragraph on Making an Omelette (For Classes 9, 10, SSC)

~306 words

An omelette is one of the easiest and most delicious foods to cook. Almost everyone can learn to make an omelette in a few minutes. Eggs are the main ingredient of an omelette, and we can add many things to make it tastier. The first step is to take two or three fresh eggs. Then we break each egg gently against the edge of a bowl and pour the yellow and white part inside. We must be careful that no piece of the shell falls into the bowl. If a small piece of shell falls in, we can take it out with a spoon. After that we add a little salt and a pinch of chilli powder to the eggs. We can also add chopped onion, green chilli, tomato, and coriander leaves to make the omelette colourful and tasty.

Now we beat the eggs well with a fork or a spoon. We beat them until the yellow and white colours mix together completely. Then we put a frying pan on the stove and pour a little cooking oil into it. We wait until the oil becomes hot but not smoking. Then we pour the beaten eggs into the pan. We tilt the pan a little so that the mixture spreads evenly. Within a minute the bottom side turns light brown, and the omelette becomes firm. We lift the edge with a spatula and turn the omelette to cook the other side. When both sides are golden, the omelette is ready. We slide it onto a plate and eat it hot with bread, rice, or roti. An omelette gives us energy because eggs are rich in protein. We should also be careful near the hot stove so that we do not burn our hands. Making an omelette is fun, and I enjoy cooking it for my family.
